Approval of amendment to agreement with Notification Technologies Inc. (now Blackboard Connect) to extend services of the Connect Ed product, which is a telephone notification capability that allows the dissemination of District-wide and School-wide information to students' and employees' homes.  The existing agreement expires August 31, 2008.

The agreement is for the next 5 years and the amendment uses a bid share from Manatee County School Board.  The rate is $3.00 per student which is $.60 less than the previous agreement.  This is a $25,000 savings per year from previous years.  By renewing this agreement we will also save $6000 in set-up fees.
